Qur’an refers to Jesus as Esa in Arabic which is same as his name Esau in Hebrew , classical Yeheshua which the christians have latinised as Jesus however Jesus (peace be upon him) never heard the word Jesus in his lifetime.One may wonder to know that Jesus (peace be upon him) is mentioned 25 times by name in Qur’an while Prophet Muhammad is mentioned only 5 times .
Some titles given to Jesus (peace be upon him) in Qur’an are :
Ibn Maryam – The son of Mary – Surah Maidah (5:75)
Maseeh or Messiah (Hebrew) – Annointed One – Suarh Nisa (4:171)
Abdullah – Servant of Allah (God) – Surah Maryam (19:30)
Rasullullah – Messenger of Allah (God) – Surah Maidah (5:75)
Kalimatullah – A word from Allah (God) – Surah Ale-Imran (3:45)
Ruhallah – A spirit from Allah (God) – Suarh Nisa (4:171)
Aayah – A sign from Allah (God)
Even The Qur’an has a whole Chapter named ‘Maryam’ (Mary) in respect of The Mother of Jesus . No other chapter in Qur’an has been named on a woman . This respect given to Mary is not even found in the Christian Bible.
The Qur’an refers to Jews and Christians ( and people with other scriptues ) as ‘Ahle-Kita’b’ meaning ‘The People of the Book (Scripture)’ and addresses them many times .
Throughout the NT of the Bible, Jesus (pbuh) referred to himself as “son of man” (human being). He never possessed the knowledge, nor any Divine ability that of GOD. Jesus (pbuh) was never self-sufficient or all-knowledgeable and most importantly he prayed to GOD, so this is enough to say that he wasn’t God nor did God come down to earth to be Jesus. The one thing Most Christians don’t understand about God is that His Divine Nature, Knowledge, Abilities, and Attributes are far more superior to the nature of His Creation. Many Christians will proudly say that GOD can become whatever He wants just to justify their way of thinking, but this ideology contradicts His Nature and Self proclaimed statement in Numbers 23:19 about how He is not a man, nor the “son of man”! If GOD Himself says He is not the “son of man” while Jesus (pbuh) clearly claims to be the “son of man”, then this proves beyond a resonable doubt that they’re not the same diety so who gives anyone the authority or right to change GOD’s Nature? GOD cannot be the opposite of what He is!I sincerely hope with this proof Christians will apply this understanding with an open mind and heart that at no time GOD ever became a powerless man on earth and forfeited His Divne Nature for 33 years while no diety governed the World…it’s that simple!
