🗣️ Speakers
Col. Abdulaziz “Binimad” Al-Ateeqi of Kuwait graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Great Britain, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications from the American University of Kuwait. As the foremost authority on Makkah’s topography and geography at the time of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, he has contributed his expertise to many projects, including a major Islamic landmarks project commissioned by the government of Saudi Arabia. He is the co-founder of SirahMaps.com, home to a series of exclusive interactive maps detailing the sīrah of Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH), and the author of several Islamic books, including Makkah at the Time of Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH): An Illustrated Reference with Maps of Key Homes, Mountains, and Other Landmarks (2020). As a public speaker, his talks, such as his 2019 TEDxKuwaitCity lecture titled “Resurrecting Pre-Caliphate Makkah,” focus on historical Makkah’s topography and geography.

Dr. Sadeq Ansari is currently working on an academic Sirah project with The Age of Light. He also currently teaches theology and ulum al-Hadith with ISRA and Charles Sturt University. He has taken Arabic, Qur’an and Islamic studies in Egypt, Turkey and the USA. His doctoral dissertation was on the role and rules of ‘aql/reason in text criticism of hadith by the famous polymath Abu Ja’far Tahawi.
