Long before Moses stood before Pharaoh, two ordinary women already had. This is the story of Shiphrah and Puah, Hebrew midwives who chose to fear God over Pharaoh, and whose quiet courage helped preserve a nation.

When a new Pharaoh rose over Egypt and feared the growing number of Israelites, he gave two midwives a command soaked in blood. Their answer would echo for thousands of years.
