The name for the Creator of the Heavens and Earth has undergone a number of updates and revisions over the years.

Further back into its Indo-Germanic (Indo-European) roots, we find "God" is from "GHODH" which means "union" or "sexual union."

Allah is an Arabic word and was used by Muhammad and written in Quran.

(Al+Elah translates to The God). The same root as the Hebrew words "El" and "Elohim" in the Bible Genesis.
