Little Mix made quite the statement during their performance in Dubai over the weekend, proudly flying the rainbow flag to support LGBT+ rights. The Shout Out To My Ex singers performed at the Global Teacher Prize concert on Saturday, alongside Liam Payne and Rita Ora who were also on theline-up.
Fans in the audience were surprised to see the Pride flag appear on the large screen on-stage, considering there are strict laws on homosexuality in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
The girl group performed Secret Love Song Pt II, which has become an anthem in the gay community.
The ballad is a celebration of romance the desire to express love freely in public.
Lyrics include: ‘Why can’t I hold you in the street?/Why can’t I kiss you on the dance floor?/I wish that it could be like that/Why can’t it be like that?/’Cause I’m yours.
