What is the Great Reset? To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative. The Covid-19 crisis, and the political, economic and social disruptions it has caused, is fundamentally changing the traditional context for decision-making. The inconsistencies, inadequacies and contradictions of multiple systems from health and financial to energy and education are more exposed than ever amidst a global context of concern for lives, livelihoods and the planet. What is Technocracy? Technocracy is an ideological governing system in which decision-makers are selected on the basis of their expertise in Science or Technology. This system contrasts with the notion that elected representatives should be the primary decision-makers in government, though it does not necessarily imply eliminating elected representatives. Leadership skills for decision-makers are selected on the basis of specialized knowledge and performance, rather than political affiliations or parliamentary skills.
