What is Messenger?

A prophet who receives a new scripture from God is also called a messenger.

Abraham, as he received the Scrolls of Abraham

Moses and Aaron, as they received the Torah

David, as he received the Psalms

Jesus, as he received the Gospel

Muhammad, as he received the Quran

Other prophets,whose books we do not know of may include Jacob, Ishmael, Jonah and others

Say, We believe in God and what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and what was given to Moses, Jesus and all the Prophets by their Lord
Quran 2:136
