How much should we encourage multi-faith worship? Shouldn't we try to build multi-faith bridges in order to share the gospel, particularly with our

Muslim friends?

To mark the end of Ramadan, churches up and down the country have been partaking in Muslim ceremonies and events: in Coventry, The Bishop of Coventry spoke at the Ramadan Tent Project, aimed at 'developing the understanding and experience of Ramadan and fasting for all'; meanwhile local churches have been inviting in Imams to preach at the pulpit.

Meanwhile, in our prisons, there seems to be a growing problem with Islamist gangs and radicalisation - that is, according to a new report, detailing the nature of these gangs in prisons.

How would Jesus respond to all of this? Join us on Today's Round the Table, where our Head of Public Policy, Tim Dieppe, and Beth Peltola, of One Truth Project, will be answering this and more.

Who are Christian Concern?
We're passionate about bringing the love, justice, truth, freedom and hope of Jesus Christ to the heart of society. And we're building a movement of Christians who share that passion. We believe that Jesus Christ is good news for society and as relevant today as he has ever been. We believe that a flourishing future is a future shaped around him. But we also know that it's becoming harder to be a Christian in the UK today.
What is the Church?
A church is a building used for Christian worship services and Christian activities. The earliest identified Christian church is a house church founded between 233 AD and 256 AD. The word church also describes a body or assembly of Christian believers, while "the Church" refers to the worldwide Christian religious community.
What is Prison?
A prison, also known as a correctional facility, jail, penitentiary, detention center, remand center, or internment facility is a facility in which inmates are forcibly confined. The inmates are denied a variety of freedoms under the authority of the state. Prisons are most commonly used within a criminal justice system: people charged with crimes may be imprisoned until their trial; those pleading or being found guilty of crimes at trial may be sentenced to a specified period of imprisonment.
What is Islam?
One of the major religions of the world, Islam literally translates to "submission," as a follower of Islam (Muslims) devotes their life to that of their God. The religion began with the teachings of Muhammad in the 7th century. The theology of Islam is based on the Qur'an, which was given to Muhammad by God. Some of the major fundamental principles of Islam include the Five Pillars, which hope to unite all Muslims into a community. Two different factions of Muslims exist - the majority are known as Sunni, with a small percentage known as Shi'a - both predominantly reside throughout the Middle East. Muhammad died in 632 AD and the religion of Islam formally started after his death. The Quran was formally compiled and finalised in 650 AD, prior to which it was 'memorised' and written across many parchments.
