Jesus' Resurrection: Where is the Evidence? - Gene Kim (Godless Engineer)

Youtube Description:
What's Up Heathens! Today we are going to watch Dr. Gene Kim prove that Jesus existed and he resurrected from the dead. Of course, this is not going to be real evidence. only crappy logic exists int he mind of Dr. Gene Kim.
Gene starts off complaining about atheists and how they use science to study the real world. I kindly point out how that is dumb and that anything that exists outside the real world doesn't actually exist. Any supernatural thing that exists becomes natural when we can explain it. He offers a really bad explanation of the resurrection evidence. That the only option is that Jesus rose from the Dead. He mentions Paul's recollection of 500 witnesses and I explain how that isn't evidence that Jesus existed. And apparently, Gene Kim has a Ph. D. in Psychology as well because he says group hallucinations don't happen.
He then goes through the possibilities for the resurrection. All are fairly improbable but he, of course, favors resurrection over the others. The 500 did hallucinate as group hallucinations can happen and the stolen body theory doesn't match anything we have. He doesn't actually talk about extra-biblical because he puts so much emphasis on how we should trust the Bible.
In the end, he doesn't give us good reason to believe that Jesus existed or that he rose from the dead. He does ask what it would take to believe he did and I'm not sure what that would look like. What I do know is that we would have to be able to detect God's influence on reality and so far we haven't been able to do it.

What is Resurrection?
Resurrection is the concept of coming back to life after death. In a number of ancient religions, a dying-and-rising god is a deity which dies and resurrects. The death and resurrection of Jesus, an example of resurrection, is the central focus of

Christianity. As a religious concept, it is used in two distinct respects: a belief in the resurrection of individual souls that is current and ongoing (Christian idealism, realized eschatology), or else a belief in a singular resurrection of the dead at the end of the world. The resurrection of the dead is a standard eschatological belief in the Abrahamic religions.
