The School of Knowledge is seeking a transformation of education about the war, genocide and urban / civic / cultural resistance into a universal educational model through a unique platform for knowledge transfer. A methodology that detects 'early warning signs' which break through the 'information noise' to train individuals and equip society with the means to prevent the escalation of future/potential conflicts over the point of no return.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is still, like the entire region which includes the former Yugoslav countries, even 20 years after the war (1992-95) suffering from its consequences, while the everyday life of all former republics is marked by the problems of overcoming the past that are reflected in the issues of justice, remembrance, denial and reconciliation.

Where is Srebrenica?Srebrenica is a town and municipality located in the eastern most part of Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a small mountain town, with its main industry being salt mining and a nearby spa. As of 2013, town has a population of 2,604 inhabitants, while the municipality has 13,409 inhabitants. During the Bosnian War, the town was the site of the July 1995 massacre of the town's Bosniak population, determined to have been a crime of genocide.

The hybrid word "genocide" is a combination of the Greek word genos ("race, people") and the Latin suffix -cide ("act of killing"). The Political Instability Task Force estimated that, between 1956 and 2016, a total of forty-three genocides took place, causing the death of about 50 million people. The UNHCR estimated that a further 50 million had been displaced by such episodes of violence up to 2008. The Holocaust is a specific instance of genocide. It refers specifically to the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of approximately six million Jewish people by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.
