savior, messiah, or renewer who will set the world right. Why does this idea appear so widely across religions? And what does the Quran actually say about it? Dr. Shabir looks closely at commonly cited Quran verses about Jesus and explains why they do not clearly predict a second coming, then compares this with Jewish hopes for a Davidic king, Christian belief in the return of Christ, and parallel expectations in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Zoroastrianism. Along the way, he asks a deeper question: are we meant to wait for someone to save the world, or are we meant to live out the truth already given to us?

Who is Shabir Ally? Shabir Ally is a Canadian Muslim preacher who serves as the president of the Islamic Information & Dawah Centre International in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ally is known for promoting a contextual interpretation of the Quranic verses, but seeks to find their justification in similar expressions within the Christian Bible. He has debated William Lane Craig, David Wood, Nabeel Qureshi, Michael Licona and John Dominic Crossan. He has also debated apologists James White and Jay Smith.
Who is the Messiah? In Abrahamic religions, the messiah or messias is a saviour or liberator of a group of people.
Who are Caesar Messiah? Caesar's Messiah is a 2005 book by Joseph Atwill, which argues that the New Testament Gospels were written as wartime propaganda by scholars connected to the Roman imperial court of the Flavian emperors: Vespasian, Titus and Domitian. According to Atwill, their primary purpose in creating the religion was to control the spread of Judaism and moderate its political virulence. The Jewish nationalist Zealots had been defeated in the First Jewish-Roman War of 70 AD, but Judaism remained an influential movement throughout the Mediterranean region. Atwill argues that the biblical character Jesus Christ is a typological representation of the Roman Emperor Titus.
