Some may think it isn't a big deal to study from the NIV or NLT or the various other translations other than the KJV. You do so at your own risk. As you have seen here, there are many omissions and twistings of the scriptures. Satan is a subtle deceiver and when you are not serious about your study of the Word of God then you become prey to the hunter. He comes to steal, kill and destroy.

I started off early in my Christian walk reading the NCV a very watered down version of the bible. It was helpful in that it was easy to read. However, as I got serious with my studies I progressed to the KJV. I wanted a version that paralleled the original texts without the blatant omissions and contemporizing of the Word of God.

May God give you similar zeal in your study of his Holy Word.
