Video Description (from Youtube)
A 5-day old baby girl born with a facial deformity resembling an elephant trunk is being worshipped as god believed to be an incarnation of Hindu god Lord Ganesha in an Indian village of Aligarth, Uttar Pradesh in northern India.

Locals nicknamed the divine child as Ganpatni,” or “Ganesha’s wife” for her elephant trunk-like protrusion between her eyes.

The deformity looks similar to an elephant's trunk, and doctors are suspecting that it might be because of a rare genetic mutation.

Doctors said a gene mutation combined with possible malnutrition gave the girl the protuberance on her face. But people in the area said there was something more divine at work.
