In “Behind the Lines”, Mother Jones senior reporter Shane Bauer reports from Syria on America’s role in one of the 21st century’s bloodiest conflicts. Bauer’s investigation explores a civil war that has drawn American jihadists, anarchists, CIA agents, and special forces to a battlefield of shifting allegiances, wary allies, and horrific civilian casualties.
