Over the past year, Dr Ellen Kriesels, Dr Rehiana Ali and Dr Rahmeh Aladwan have been targeted by the Israel lobby because of their support for Palestine. They have been doxxed and had theirlivelihoods put at risk while facing disciplinary hearings with their professional bodies. And when those bodies found they had done nothing wrong, Health Secretary Wes Streeting intervened, applying political pressure to decisions that should be independent.
After Dr Ellen Kriesels and Dr Rahmeh Aladwan were suspended from practice, you might have expected the campaign against them to end. Instead, both were arrested just before Christmas and held in custody for several hours. Dr Aladwan was arrested three times.
In this conversation, the three doctors describe what has happened to them and reflect on how speech is being policed, not only by the Israel lobby but also by some on the Left.
