What is Aramaic?
Aramaic was the language of Jesus, who spoke the Galilean dialect during his public ministry, as well as the language of large sections of the biblical books of Daniel and Ezra, and also one of the languages of the Talmud. Aramaic is a language or group of languages belonging to the Semitic

subfamily of the Afroasiatic language family. More specifically, it is part of the Northwest Semitic group, which also includes the Canaanite languages such as Hebrew and Phoenician. The Aramaic alphabet was widely adopted for other languages and is ancestral to the Hebrew, Syriac and Arabic alphabets. During its approximately 3,100 years of written history, Aramaic has served variously as a language of administration of empires and as a language of divine worship, religious study and as the spoken tongue of a number of Semitic peoples from the Near East.

Adnan Rashid is a public figure, historian, traveller, poet, author and a philanthropist. He is also a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Hittin Institute, London. Rashid has speciality in the history of Islamic civilisation, comparative religion and Quran/Hadith sciences. He also takes a keen

interest in lslamic numismatics, ancient manuscripts and antiquities. He has debated many high profile figures in the field of politics, history, Muslim/Christian theology. Rashid has represented Islam and Muslims appearing on a number of radio and TV platforms such as the BBC Asia Netwrok, Press TV, Iqra TV and Islam Channel.
Who is Elohim?
Elohim in the Hebrew Bible refers to deities, and is one of the many names or titles for God in the Hebrew Bible. The word is identical to the plural of el, meaning gods or magistrates, and is used for the pantheon of Canaanite gods, the children of El, and conventionally vocalized as "Elohim". The

notion of divinity underwent radical changes in the early period of Israelite identity and development of Ancient Hebrew religion. The ambiguity of the term elohim is the result of such changes, cast in terms of "vertical translatability", i.e. the re-interpretation of the gods from 7th century BC, Judah to the emergence of monotheist Rabbinical Judaism in the 2 AD.
