Egypt has announced new air travel restrictions that will require all incoming passengers older than 6 to produce a negative PCR test to confirm they are coronavirus free. The new measures will come into force from Tuesday, September 1, and will require a PCR test to have been conducted within 72hours of arrival in the country.
The measures have been introduced by Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority and will be mandatory for all passengers, including Egyptian citizens.

The measures will apply to all carriers operating routes into the country, and will be enforced at airports.
Similar measures were introduced in the country earlier this month, however, negative tests were only required for non-Egyptian passengers. Under the new regulations, only children under the age of 6 will be exempt.
