What is Wicca?Wicca was considered a modern version of ancient European witchcraft religion. It was re-introduced into a modern religion in 1954 by Gerald Gardner. Different versions of the Wiccan religion have since surfaced, all with their own specific practices and beliefs. Because there is no core belief system, much can be argued about what makes a Wiccan. Typical beliefs include worshipping a God and Goddess (often symbolized by the sun and moon).
Many grow up in a world where one major religion is popular, and are never awakened to the other philosophies and theologies that exist throughout the world. Perhaps with a greater understanding of these other religions, one can live a more dynamic life with a greater understanding of spirituality and the possibilities that exist.
