US reconstructive surgeon Dr. Irfan Galaria tells Mehdi how the bleak conditions in Gaza have continued under Donald Trump’s ‘peace deal.’

Dr. Galaria also recounts stories from his time caring for children at the Al-Shifa hospital in November – his second trip to Gaza since October 7 – as Palestinians faced daily Israeli attacks, restricted aid, and no shelter.

It all amounts to, in Dr. Galaria’s words, a “systemic effort to target children” by Israel.
