Telecom companies are currently scrambling to implement fifth-generation cellular network technology. But the world of 5G is a world where
all objects are wired and constantly communicating data to one another. The dark truth is that the development of 5G networks and the various networked products that they will give rise to in the global smart city infrastructure, represent the greatest threat to freedom in the history of humanity.

Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, activities, or information for the purpose of influencing, managing or directing. This can include
observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment, such as closed-circuit television (CCTV), or interception of electronically transmitted information, such as Internet traffic. Surveillance is used by governments for intelligence gathering, prevention of crime, the protection of a process, person, group or object, or the investigation of crime. Surveillance can be viewed as a violation of privacy, and as such is often opposed by civil liberties activists.
Technocracy is an ideological governing system in which decision-makers are selected on the basis of their expertise in Science or Technology. This
system contrasts with the notion that elected representatives should be the primary decision-makers in government, though it does not necessarily imply eliminating elected representatives. Leadership skills for decision-makers are selected on the basis of specialized knowledge and performance, rather than political affiliations or parliamentary skills.
5G (from "5th Generation") is the latest generation of cellular mobile communications. It succeeds the 4G, 3G and 2G systems. 5G performance targets
high data rate, reduced latency, energy saving, cost reduction, higher system capacity, and massive device connectivity. Their major advantage is that 5G networks achieve much higher data rates than previous cellular networks, up to 10 Gbps; which is faster than current cable internet, and 100 times faster than the previous cellular technology, 4G.

5G networks achieve these higher data rates by using higher frequency radio waves, in or near the millimeter wave band around 28 and 39 GHz while previous cellular networks used frequencies in the microwave band between 700 MHz and 3 GHz.
