Interior mausoleum of Prophet Amram situated along 23rd July Street in downtown Salalah. The Tomb of Aaron, perched atop Jordan's highest peak near Petra at an altitude of 1,350 meters, is revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims as the burial site of Moses' elder brother, Aaron. The current white-domed structure dates back to a 14th-century Mamluk reconstruction, built directly over the ruins of an earlier 5th-century Byzantine monastery. Reaching this historic pilgrimage site requires a strenuous 12-mile round-trip trek from Petra's main valley, rewarding visitors with a combination of deep spiritual heritage and vast panoramic views of the desert canyons.
