The image shows pilgrims viewing the Sacred Chamber (Al-Rawdah al-Sharifah) inside the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) in Medina, Saudi Arabia.This highly ornate gold and brass viewing screen marks the final resting place of the Prophet Muhammad, alongside his close companions and the first two caliphs of Islam, Abu Bakr and Umar ibn al-Khattab. The large circular viewing holes in the brass grill allow pilgrims passing through the mosque to face the inner tombs directly.
