The Nicene Creed was agreed at Council of Nicaea (325 AD) and Constantinople (381 AD) by 316 Christian Bishops.
The Nicene Creed presents the Christian Catholic teachings on the nature of God. The Creed can be considered the foundation for all the Christian sects that emerged from thereon. In particular, the Creed was written in response to Arianism, a form of Christianity that
denied Jesus was fully God.
