Assalamualaikum, All Praises And Thanks To Allah [SWT]. We Send Blessings And Salute Upon Our Leader Muhammad [SAW] & Upon His Blessed Family & Upon His Beloved Companions.
Here is the story of the Dhan Nun [Companion of the fish], none other than Prophet Yunus AS [Jonah peace be upon him]. Allah SWT says Indeed he was one of the messengers. Rasoolullah SAW said no one has the right to say that I am better that Yunus Ibn Matta. Allah SWT says in Qur'an, "Was there any town that believed after seeing the punishment, and its Faith at that moment, saved it from the punishment? (the answer is none)--except the people of Jonah; when they believed, We removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the present world, and permitted them to enjoy for a while". Yunus AS called the people of Nineveh to worship Allah SWT. But they rejected and they were harsh on him. Jonah PBUH left the city of Mosul with anger. Then he traveled in a ship but a storm came. Yunus AS was compelled to jump into the sea. The big fish or whale swallowed Yunus AS. When Yunus AS was left in the stomach of the whale, he said a powerful dua :- None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You. Truly, I have been of the wrong doers. Allah SWT saved him. When he went back to the people, he saw more than hundred thousand believers. This is the Nabi of Allah SWT whom his whole ummah accepted the message, Allahu Akbar!... May Allah SWT accept all our good deeds and forgive our sins Aameen...
